Keystrokes By KimberlyOn Monday, November 2nd Painting With A Twist in Buckhead, National Association of Professional Women Atlanta Chapter (NAPW), JonAshton Public Relations, Keystrokes By Kimberly, Divas With A Purpose, Macaroni Kid East Atlanta, Macaroni Kid Downtown Atlanta and others are joining forces for Atlanta’s homeless. We are Painting With A Purpose at a special rate of $25 for this event as we collect travel size toiletries for them. To register for this event please use code Blogger and sign up here.
Advance payment is required and we would be very grateful if payment is made no later than Friday, October 30th. We are asking for the following donations:
~ Gallon size Ziploc bags (by the box)
~ Clean socks for Men, Women and children
~ Personal Items for women (Sanitary napkins, Tampons etc.…)
~ Wash clothes (Brand new. Walmart & Target have bundles for under $5)
~ Travel size lotion, tooth paste, toothbrush, mouthwash, shampoo, conditioner etc…
Donations will be collected on site at Painting With A Twist at 2140 Peachtree Road NW Suite 305 Atlanta GA 30309 from Monday, October 26th through Monday, November 2nd and on site at Maki Fresh at 2349 Peachtree Road Atlanta GA 30305 from Monday, October 26th through Monday, November 16th.
There will be door prizes, food and drink. We welcome everyone to join in this great cause whether though donations, painting or both. Atlanta’s homeless is growing beyond belief and we want to do what we can to assist them. It is amazing to see the faces of today’s homeless community, some are even very familiar. They are families, men, women, youth, children and the elderly. Visit the Civic Center Marts station any night and you can see it for yourself. It is a challenge no matter what side of town you go ~ Westside, Eastside, Southside and yes even Northside. It truly tugs at my heart.
What’s our plan? Well we cannot change it in a day, month or even a few months however what we can do right now is fore fill a need most do not. Everyone provides a meal, coats and more however very few provide toiletries. Travel size at that. We will fill gallon size bags with the items above so they will not have to worry about those items and keep them without the weight of full size items.
