Louis CK is a Mexican-American Emmy and Grammy Award winning stand-up comedian, television and film writer, producer, director, and actor. Well, on the Conan O’Brien show about five years ago he voiced his opinion on “every things is amazing and nobody’s happy” which went viral. I have watched this clip a dozen times. There is SO much truth in it that you really have to stop, think and begin formulating your Back To The Basics family plan immediately. You can view that here http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x8m5d0_everything-is-amazing-and-nobody-i_fun.
Well, recently on Conan O’Brien he did it with his view on smart phones in the wake of everyone scrambling over the latest and greatest technology around iPhone. He has generated a snowball effect of the commentary and quiet honestly it has GREAT truth. The light he shed on his beliefs goes like this. He stated his belief is that of smartphones being “toxic,” particularly for children. He explains that when kids interact with others by texting, “they don’t look at people when they talk to them and they don’t build empathy.”
In person, he says, if a child calls another kid “fat,” they must experience seeing “the kid’s face scrunch up” in reaction to the cruel remark; they learn that it “doesn’t feel good to make a person do that … but when they write ‘you’re fat,’ then they just go, ‘Mmmm, that was fun, I like that.’” And he is exactly right. Adults and children have embraced a toxic attitude known is cyber bullying or for old school people such as myself bullying! Things people would not dare say to you are now being said via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or text. And if they are true cowards (and most of them are) they even sub tweet which the kids call it where they indirectly reference you then cry foul when you call them on it. Well, hats off to Louis CK for bringing it too national attention. Now as parents and adults let’s address it and begin but setting the best example. Here is the latest clip. http://youtu.be/5HbYScltf1c
