Good Luck to Toni and this will be a great journey to read along with!”

Stacey chose Doctor Who Scarf Bracelets from Sum of Their Stories. “These bracelets are amazing! Me-to-We

Jessica chose Gratitude vs. Mindfulness from Reflective Mama. “I love her take on concentrating on the “now”. Today, I think many of us tend to get super busy with “distractions” such as emails, text messages, etc. whenever we have that “free moment.” I think we need to unplug during the day and appreciate the “now” around us like the baby giggles or even taking time to smell the roses. Awesome post and great reminder on living in the now!”

Becky chose Fall Dollar Store Craft Contest from My Pinterventures. “I loved this post because it’s fantastic idea. So many DIYs consist of things that are expensive. I love a good, cheap, craft and can’t wait to see what happens with this link up. I may even give it a whirl!”

As a tall woman who loves her milk, I guess I set myself up for the crazy. :) In all seriousness, I get asked a lot of questions about my twins because they are such polar opposites. Not only do they look absolutely nothing alike, but their personalities and strengths are completely different. And it looks like one of my little men is going to be a lefty! It’s always nice to connect with other twin mamas, because there is nothing quite like having two little ones running about. It really takes one to know one. “

blogger-image--1272672491

Victoria chose Selfish Mom Moments from Working Mom Magic. “I chose Selfish Mom Moments because I can totally relate. As a mom of three small boys, I try to be as unselfish as possible. However, sometimes moms need some times to themselves.”

Or wake up because I’m kicked or slapped in the middle of the night. Or wake up because he’s snoring next to me. Either way, I don’t sleep. And I’ve somewhat gotten used to it.”

The 2014 KIA Soul More Than You Imagine!

*This is a product review. All opinions are 100% my own. I was provided this vehicle to drive and review. No other compensation was given. ~ Kimberly

~ KIA Soul ~

~ KIA Soul ~

Yes I am a KIA fan. I have watched them come along way and they offer so much for the money. When I first discovered them in 2003 they were impressive then. There 100,000 mile grantee/warrantee was unheard of at that time. Well, to say the least they are still exceeding consumers’ expectations eleven years later and doing it well. Recently, I had the pleasure of test driving a KIA Soul for a week. Simply, stated I did not know what to expect however the Kia Soul was load with surprises and luxury. I love Kia (Yes, I named her) so much we went everywhere AND did a photo shoot. I always LOVED the way she handled in the rain. Kia was awesome.

The Three Things I Like

• The way she handles in the rain. I do not drive at all in the rain. I just avoid it and have for countless years. While driving the KIA I was caught in one of many monsoons here in Atlanta. She handles perfectly in the rain. She became my security blanket and I swear the brakes actually intensified when the road became wet.

• The dual navigation system was the greatest ever! This pretty girl had a dual navigation system. There was one on the radio and the dashboard. Perfect for me because the dashboard one was easier and safer to view for me.

• The lights up speakers were pretty cool! Now I know first-hand why the hamsters were rocking it out in the commercial. The speakers change colors to the beat it night.

The Three Things I Would Improve – (Maybe it’s just me)

• The dual sunroof only opens one sunroof and I would have loved to have the entire thing open.

• The automatic lock/unlock feature is a little frustrating. I never got the hang of it and as far as I could tell it only successfully works on the driver’s side.

• The trunk has no space at all. All I could get in there was a few groceries. No full size suitcase or shopping bags.

From The KIA Site

The Kia Soul is redesigned for 2014 model year retaining the unique look of the original Soul while adding new elements from the Kia Track’ster concept including the large trapezoidal lower air intake, the “floating” rear body-color panel in the lift gate and Kia’s signature grille which is reworked to more closely resemble the concept. The new Soul is built on a new chassis that is longer, wider and stiffer to provide more passenger and cargo room with reduced noise levels. The Base Soul is powered by a 130-horsepower 1.6-liter engine mated with a 6-speed manual transmission or an optional 6-speed automatic. Soul Plus and Exclaim trim levels receive a 164-horsepower 2.0-liter engine combined with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Standard equipment includes power windows, power door locks, heated outside mirrors, telescoping steering wheel, Bluetooth hands free wireless technology4 and SiriusXM satellite radio. Soul Plus adds 17-inch alloy wheels, outside mirror turn-signal indicators and console storage with integrated armrest. Soul Exclaim adds 18-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, projector headlights, front LED positioning lights, rear LED halo lights, high-gloss piano-black center console, cooled glove box, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and leather-wrapped gear shift knob and 10-way power driver’s seat.
MSRP: $14,900 – $23,400
Fuel economy (MPG): 23 – 24 city | 30 – 31 highway

Here are the Featured posts from last week!

zucchini-roundup1-1024x1024

Katy chose The Ultimate Zucchini Recipe Roundup from Mommy on Demand. “I have been on the hunt for new ways to get my toddlers to eat zucchini during their veggie strike. This round up has some great recipes that I know they’ll love, and a few fancier options that I can make for the adults!”

Blessing-Bag-Kits

Cindy chose Blessing Bags – Keep on Hand for those in Need or Donate to Homeless Shelter from Thrifty NW Mom. “I love this! Our old church had a large outreach to the homeless community and even a Saturday night meal and church service for them. Throughout the year we would gather items similar to these bags to reach out to people we saw on the streets…and invite them to church. Now that we are at a different church, I still need to be reaching the homeless and needy of our community in a tangible way and this post reminded me of that.”

Baby-Daddy-Drama-333x500

Victoria chose I Can’t Take It Anymore! Tips to End Baby Daddy Drama from Epic Mommy Adventures. “I chose this post because it is something that I can personally relate too. When reading the post I could see that there was real life experience put into the post and those are the posts that I really love to read.”

FF-No-stress-attitude-potty-training-797x1024

Becky chose A No-Stress Attitude About Potty Training from Fruitful Families. “I loved this post because it is totally how I feel about potty training and we only trained one. I didn’t let it stress me out, and we really just waited until our son was ready. This post is a great read for moms!”

Jillian also chose this post. “I chose this post because we are reaching the time when we’ll be needing to potty train my son and this has great ways to keep it a stress-free experience.”

freezer_biscuits_1-657x1024

Sandy chose Homemade Freezer Biscuits from Ten At The Table. “I think having these freezer biscuits on hand will make our busy school morning a little bit easier. Just put them in the fridge the night before and pop them in the oven while we are getting ready. I can’t wait to give them a try.”

All-women-becomelike-their-mothers.That_

Rhonda chose I Can’t Take It Anymore Tips to End Baby Daddy Drama from Epic Mommy Adventures. “As a single mother who has raised a daughter and dealt with baby’s daddy drama, the tips are very insightful and will help eliminate unnecessary stress. Great advice.”

kleankanteen

Kelly chose My Five Camping-with-Littles Must-Haves (And ONE thing you’ll never need!) from Mommy Life after PhD. “I chose this one because I think it is wonderful for everyone to be out in nature and enjoying time with their families, but many people wait “until the kids are bigger”. I think these suggestions are helpful to show that you don’t have to wait.”

blogdepression

Stacey chose 14 Tips for Coping with Depression while Raising Children: Guest Blogger Jenessa from Mothering {In Real Life} from Chaos & Kiddos: Mommy’s Survival Guide. “Jenessa wrote such a beautiful and heartfelt post! Struggling with depression myself, she offered many wonderful ideas to help muddle through those difficult times, especially when trying to raise healthy and happy children. Our children still need us no matter how we feel, and so many of her tips were completely spot on in coping with depression and raising children.”

marry

Kimberly chose 10 Funny Marriage Proposal Disasters from A Kaleidoscopic Dream. “I am a sucker for a unique marriage proposal story. The ones that turn out opposite of how they were planned are the best. The ladies at A Kaleidoscopic Dream did not disappoint with these picks. Hilarious!”

10006955_371306733012332_1813280966_n

Jessica chose No, He Doesn’t Wear A Ring. from Blessed in Alabama. “How true! My husband and I have been married 4 years August 9th and I can happily say that he does not wear a ring,,, and surprise! Neither do I. His reason is because of his job. My reason? I lost weight (LOL!!). However, we are still happily together and the ring does not define our marriage – our trust and love for each other does. Thanks for the post!”

Chelsea also chose this post. “I chose this post because I think it really proves a point. People get so caught up in appearances and what others think of them. It was a nice refresher to know that someone out there is living freely, and doing what works for them. I especially liked it because I can certainly relate. Although I am not married as of yet, my boyfriend of 6 years obviously does not wear a ring. I do, but it’s a promise ring. Hah! I always get shade from people saying that it’s not equal for me to wear a ring (and say I’m off limits) but he is not. So, I was happy to see what she had to say.”

briolette

Kelly chose You’re Going to Love This! from Woods of Bell Trees. “This was my favorite because I love the whole “Swap and tell” idea. It is a great opportunity for business owners, like me. It sounds like a really fun concept.”

Five Reasons Why The Bronner Brothers Show Is Legendary!

I have been hearing about and attending the Bronner Brothers show since I was knee high to a grasshopper. As an Atlanta native that is just part of the Atlanta fabric and I celebrate them. The Bronner Brothers Show is truly legendary. It is filled with rich culture, lots of history and grand ideas. Now is it’s sixty seventh year the Bronner Bros show has evolved beyond imagination. Each show, year, decade and then some delivers more. Here are seven reasons why the Bronner Show is legendary and always will be.

The Bronner Brothers Family

The Bronner Brothers Family

1. Kim Kimble said it BEST at today’s show. The key to success in our industry is to be the first, the best or the only. Well, she is absolutely right and often along the Bronner Brothers journey they have been the first, the best and the only.

~ Kim Kimble & I ~

~ Kim Kimble & I ~

2. The Bronner Bros. Enterprise is one of the largest private African American hair, skin care and nails producers in the United States. Considering all that came before them and all the African American hair companies which compete with them this is pretty impressive. Not many African American families own and run companies which have a proven success pattern which runs as deep as the Bronners. Although they are widely known for hair and skin care they have a roster of so many other business such as Ark of Salvation Church, Upscale Magazine, Word of Faith Worship Center and so much more!

3. The Bronner Family has built an empire and legacy to be reckoned with. As a native I have seen them build individually and collectly. They shine separately and together.

4. They are constantly keeping up with the times. In a sea of hair shows they realized that in order to relevant and take things higher they need to create and all new show while taking things back to their beginning so they brought Sabrina McKenzie on board to create the change.

5. New beginnings have always been a great success for the Bronner Family and family. Let’s take a look at some photographs from today’s show.

It has truly been an honor to be selected as an “official” Bronner Brother’s blogger and social media influencer for this show.
