Yes! I just LOVE sharing news about my buddy Simon T. Bailey! He is my Morehouse brother and always exploding with purpose! Please check out the press release below.
Simon T. Bailey, MA, CSP, CPAE is Inducted into the 2015 CPAE Speaker Hall of Fame®
(Orlando, FL – August 3rd)- The NSA celebrated the careers of Bailey and his four fellow inductees in an annual ceremony honoring professional speakers who have reached the very pinnacle of their profession. He joins a select group, including former U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell, President Ronald Reagan, and Bailey’s hero, Zig Ziglar, who first inspired his speaking career 19 years ago. Globally, there are fewer than 227 professional speakers in the Speaker Hall of Fame, and of those, fewer than 10 are African-American.
“I’m thrilled to be a part of such an amazing community of professionals and am honored to receive this prestigious award,” Bailey said. “I greatly appreciate my peers’ recognition of my career-long efforts to help over 1 million people find their brilliance, shift their thinking, and produce sustainable results.”
Since 1977, NSA has awarded the Council of Peers Award for Excellence (CPAE), the lifetime award for speaking excellence and professionalism, to no more than five members annually. Inductees are “evaluated by their peers through a rigorous and demanding process. Each candidate must excel in seven categories: material, style, experience, delivery, image, professionalism, and communication.” The award is not based on celebrity status, number of speeches, amount of income, or volunteer involvement.
He was also recently selected by The Speaker Experts (Washington’s leading authorities on speaking industry trends) as one of the 10 most booked speakers by Corporations and Associations in the United States. http://thespeakerexperts.com/2015/07/08/second-annual-list-of-the-10-most-booked-corporate-and-association-speakers/
