It will truly be game time on Sunday, February 3rd in our beloved New Orleans at the Superdome as Super Bowl XLVII suits up. It is East Coast vs. West Coast, Omega Psi Phi (Ray Lewis) vs. Kappa Alpha Psi (Collin Kaepernick) and Big Harbaugh brother vs Little Harbaugh brother. Yes, I did slide the fraternities in there! Game time and a true test of fitness both mentally and physically.
Sports fanatics have already dubbed Super Bowl XLVII as the HarBowl. This will be one of the best Super Bowls ever! For the first time in Super Bowl history brothers are actually coaching the opposing teams. Jim Harbaugh is the head coach for the San Francisco 49ers, and his older brother {by only fifteen months}; John is the head coach of the Baltimore Ravens. How exciting! Plus Ray Lewis, one of my personal favorites, of the Baltimore Ravens is retiring. What a way to retire!
Both teams had amazing runs up to Super Bowl XLVII. On their way to the title game, the 49er beat the Green Bay Packers {45 to 31} and had to really fight for a win against my beloved Atlanta Falcons {28 to 24}. Then the Ravens had to work for it to beat the Denver Broncos {38 to 35} and they just shut the front door on the New England Patriots {28 to 13} who have played in the Super Bowl 7 times and 5 of those 7 times were with Tom Brady, their superstar.
So who do you think will win Super Bowl XLVII?
