I had the BEST time on Monday! I stepped in for Bernetta Styles at the exclusive Springer Mountain Farms luncheon with Paula Deen. I cannot stay THANK YOU enough to Bernetta for this. She is a pretty cool blogger buddy and helped me check off a bucket list item. What bucket list item? A celebrity cooked for me. Lol… Here is video of how her show flows.
Paula was such a delight and husband, Michael is too funny! We talked about grilling for about twenty minutes. Just Michael and I talking away about this REALLY cool Grill Dome at the Guy Gunter Home showroom that was EVERYTHING! This was a small intimate luncheon of about twenty and she cooked jambalaya for us and talked all about her wonderful world of cooking, the Paula Deen Network, why she uses nothing but Springer Mountain Farms chicken in her restaurants and her event this Sunday at the Woodruff Arts Center. She is so down to earth and delightful I really had a nice time. She even insisted we call her Paula instead of Mrs. Deen. She even joked that Mrs. Deen was her ex-husband’s dead mother.
