Keystrokes By KimberlyYes she did AND she was right! Blogger is the new entrepreneur and I am grateful to be one. I had SO much fun at her luncheon today! I learned some further knowledge and had a chance to place a few faces with names regarding the BLM Girls (Bloggers Like Me). The luncheon was full of surprises, tips, prizes and more. When Tami and her guest spoke we all listened and took notes feverishly. This blogger luncheon was held at Nancy’s Pizza in Buckhead.
Tami shared a plethora of knowledge as usual and encouraged us beyond belief. She is a gentle giant and full of personality. She is truly a host who does the most. I love her spirit and cannot help but smile at her style.
The first guest was Reco Chapple of House of Chapple. Loved how honest and forth coming he was. He truly shared the hard core facts of the wonderful Blogsphere. My takeaways from Reco were to read the $100 Start Up by Chris Guillebeau and Laptop Millionaire by Mark Anastasi. I must add these to my summer reads. I just finished an excellent read of The Entrepreneur Mind by Kevin Johnson so while I am in a millionaire mindset of reading a book a week these are next.
Then our final guest was Quad Lunceford Webb of Married To Medicine. Now Quad brings the noise, truth and honesty as well. Let me just say this. Kim Ford of Jubilee magazine posed the question of how she felt about having her life opened up for public display and Quad left the entire audience speechless by stating “When you open your life up for public display you also open your life up for public ridicule. The only thing is, I have a check attached to it where as others do not! ” I had to laugh because that statement right there was priceless. 😉
